A couple of projects that Modus were working on towards the end of last year have recently featured in a some local and international design publications and the articles are now available online.....
The Auckland War Memorial Museum was a fantastic project using the PCK LED system to create an exterior lighting scheme. We were onsite working alongside the designers right the way through from site trials to the “switch on” at the gala dinner that was held on October 30th. We are immensely proud to have been involved in this iconic project in association with an outstanding team including Montreal based lighting designer Francois Roupinian of Light Emotion.
The spectacular results reflect not only the beauty of this, an important historical building, but also the possibilities that new technology and considered design can offer to bring a new lease of life to our architectural history. This article is from Australian publication Lighting Art & Science looks at Francois work lighting major public buildings including the Theatre Maisonneuve of Place des Arts and the Musee d'art contemporain de Montreal in Canada, and the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Also featured in the latest issue of New Zealand's Pro Design magazine is a profile of the work that Wellington architects Tennent & Brown have been doing at Victoria University of Wellington as the first part of an ongoing upgrade of spaces within the institution. This project features custom manufactured luminares by Klik selected from their huge range of profile options. This lighting solution offers energy efficient, customizable lighting that fits with both the aesthetic of the spaces and the environmentally sustainable design objectives of the project.
