Light may be the future of computing...

An Otago University physicist is part of an international team of researchers  
who have developed what they say is the most efficient quantum "memory"
for lighting in the world, and a stepping stone to a future of super fast computers and ultra secure communications.

Information stored as light, and little old New Zealand is part of the team working on another world first and potentially world changing technology.
