Unfortunately the Modus facility in Saint Luke's was yesterday destroyed by fire. At just after 10.30 am Friday morning, fire erupted and had soon engulfed the building. Although very quick to respond, the Fire Service was able to do little other than prevent the fire spreading to adjacent buildings.
The fire completely destroyed the building, which has been home to the Modus Head office for the last twelve years.
Although all stock, manufacturing and sales facilities have been lost, good management and procedures have ensured that off site back ups of all sales, manufacturing and financial data has been retained and the company will be able to be up and running as early as next week from another site.
The staff and management of Modus would like to thank everyone who has contacted us in this difficult time.
The normal Modus phone number of 815 8400, should be operational from Monday morning.
